Dr. Tina O'Neal is an international urban scholar with teaching expertise in undergraduate and graduate courses covering assistive technology, special education law, culturally responsive pedagogy, and EdTPA seminar courses.
Dr. O'Neal's research focuses on teacher perceptions and attitudes toward inclusive teaching methods in urban settings. Her work extends internationally, with research and study abroad collaborations in Ghana and Germany, exploring the challenges and successes of inclusive education across different cultural contexts. She is particularly interested in teacher perception, knowledge, and behaviors regarding the usability and implementation of assistive technology, culturally responsive teaching practices, and trauma-informed care education in both U.S. urban settings and international spaces.
